A Collection of Promises™

Turning love and loss into promises that carry legacies forward.

Sometimes you just need a place to make a promise.

A place away from the noise of the internet, where someone’s name, life and legacy can live as more than the story of how they died. For many victims of homicide, the crime becomes much of what remains of them online. A Collection of Promises™ creates a lasting place for the people who knew and loved them to remember, share who they were and make sure their name carries more than the story of their death.

From there, a promise can become whatever feels right. It may inspire an act of kindness, inspire someone else, grow into a community effort or program, or become something entirely unexpected. Or it may simply remain a promise to keep their name and memory alive.

Because a life should never be remembered only for how it ended.

Demerian’s Promise: A Promise to Demerian Hudson

Demerian Hudson

Demerian Hudson’s family wanted people to know more than how he died. A year before his death, Demerian helped a mother whose car had been stolen with her two-year-old child inside. But after Demerian was killed in 2022, there was far more attention on the circumstances of his death than on the life he lived and the good he had done. His family didn’t want his son to grow up, Google his dad’s name and find only the story of how he died. They made Demerian a promise: they would fight for justice, keep telling his story and make sure his son and the world knew who he really was.

Because Demerian was more than what happened to him.
