Collection of Promises: A Promise to Angel Ormston

Angel Ormston was beautiful, vibrant and sweet. She had a smile that lit up a room and an energy that made people feel better just by being around her.

Angel was only 17 years old when she lost her life in an act of domestic violence. She was a daughter, sister, friend and high school student who dreamed of becoming a lawyer. She had plans for her future and an entire life ahead of her.

More than 30 years later, Angel is still loved, still remembered and still making an impact.

Angel is where the Collection of Promises begins. Her life inspired the first promise, and that promise became the foundation for helping others carry promises of their own.

I made a promise to Angel Ormston as a teenager that people would know her story. That promise became my ‘why’ in almost everything I do. As her friend, I wanted Angel to be known for more than how she died, so I’ve spent my life making sure people hear her name. A life should never be defined by how it ended.
