The Promise Project is the core program of A Promise Kept™ Foundation. It encompasses the advocacy, guidance, and system navigation we provide to survivors and families affected by violence, loss, and trauma.
Through The Promise Project, we walk alongside individuals and families across every stage of their journey — from crisis to long-term healing and justice.
The Promise Project
-

Survivor Support
Compassionate advocacy and guidance for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, and other violent crimes. We provide emotional support, safety-focused advocacy, and help navigating complex systems with dignity and care.
-

Homicide + Loss Support
Support for families impacted by homicide, including grief advocacy, justice navigation, and assistance through investigative and court processes. We walk alongside families facing profound loss, honoring both their loved ones and their pursuit of truth.
-

Court + Justice Navigation
Guidance through court hearings, legal rights, parole processes, and justice system procedures. We help survivors and families understand what to expect, prepare for proceedings, and advocate for accountability within complex legal systems.
-

Family Court Advocacy
Support for parents navigating family court, including custody, visitation, and parental rights. We advocate for child safety, fairness, and informed decision-making, particularly in cases involving trauma, abuse, or power imbalances.
-

Safety + Crisis Support
Safety-focused advocacy for survivors facing immediate risk or navigating transitions such as leaving abusive situations. Support includes crisis planning, protective strategies, and connections to trusted emergency and community resources.
-

Resource + Referral
Connection to trusted partners and providers, including counseling, trauma therapy, housing support, financial assistance, legal aid, and other essential services. We help survivors and families access the right support at the right time.
-

Voice + Storytelling
Support for survivors and families in preparing, sharing, or protecting their stories. This includes guidance around impact statements, public advocacy, media considerations, and honoring personal boundaries and safety.
-

Survivor Journey Support
Long-term guidance as survivors and families move forward beyond crisis. We provide continued advocacy, system navigation, and support through evolving legal, emotional, and life transitions.
